What Kiwi Clicker is

Kiwi Clicker is an idle clicker from Tobspr, the German studio Poki credits with the game, released in March 2022. You run a small production line built around a large brown kiwi bird sitting in a round hatch in the middle of the screen. Every click on the bird makes one kiwi fruit, and the rest of the screen is the machinery that turns those fruits into money.

The art is soft and cartoonish: a sandy road, a grey stone checkpoint marked SECURITY with a wizard-hatted guard on the roof, and a castle on the right where every shipment ends up.

How the production line works

The game's own help screen (the question mark in the bottom right corner) lays the loop out as a cycle:

1. Kiwi: click the bird to make fruit. A "+1" pops out with each click.
2. Storage: every kiwi you make is kept here until it is needed. The counter in the bottom left shows how many you have, with a red "not enough kiwis" warning under it until a load is ready.
3. Bagger: a creature on the left fills each delivery with a set number of kiwis. A speech bubble tells you how many it wants, and it shouts "Hooray!" once the bag is full.
4. Security: "Every delivery has to be X-rayed by security." The guard checks each bag for illegal items, and clicking the checkpoint makes it work faster.
5. Castle: the finished delivery is paid for in koins, the main currency, which you spend on upgrades.

Koins, krowns and the king

There are three things to collect. Kiwis are the raw fruit, koins buy upgrades for each step of the line, and krowns pay for the skill tree. Krowns come from beating the king: each time you level up, he turns up with minions to attack your workplace, and you click on him and his helpers repeatedly until they are driven off.

The skill tree has a long list of named nodes, and each one only opens once a node connected to it is active. Names in the build include Auto Kiwiker, Double Kiwi, Kiwi Kursor, Bag Stuffer, Multi Delivery, Kiwik Delivery, Sekiwity Check, Bungee Kiwi, Golden Kiwis, King's Click, King's Treasure and Royal Training. Several are about the king fight itself, such as more coin per click on the king or more frequent attacks.

One branch unlocks the Kiwilashnikov Kiwi, an armed kiwi with its own ammo and reload upgrades, plus a Gun Master skill and a perk that gives it unlimited ammo.

Tips

• Early on, click the bird until the bagger is satisfied, then click the security checkpoint to hurry the bag through. Both clicks speed up the first koins.
• An Auto-Kiwi upgrade makes kiwis on its own every few seconds, so buying it early frees you from constant clicking.
• When the king appears, stop everything else and click on him and his minions. That is the only source of krowns, and krowns are what open the skill tree.
