About Blaze Drifter

Blaze Drifter is a 3D racing game by Deer Cat Games, the studio behind Tunnel Rush, Tunnel Rush 2, Super Tunnel Rush, Super Speeder, Wave Rider and Strings. It arrived on Poki in August 2024. Races are about more than raw speed: you drift through the turns, launch off ramps and knock rival cars out of the race by ramming them. The browser version is a WebAssembly build, and the game works on computers as well as phones and tablets.

Steer with W, A, S, D or the arrow keys. Those keys are the whole control scheme listed for the game on Poki.

How a race works

• Takedowns – smash into another racer to take them out of the race.
• Ramps – driving over a ramp gives you a burst of speed.
• Stunts – Poki lists speeding up, turning, drifting, jumping and takedowns as the moves that keep you ahead of the pack.
• Coins – coins lie on the track, and every match also pays out a reward when it ends.

Progress and cars

The cash you collect is spent in two ways: upgrading the car you already drive, or buying a new one. Early on you work through the levels one at a time, which is where the game has you sharpen your driving. When you want a change from the level list, a PvP mode lets you race against other players.

Tips

• Steer onto the ramps. They are the game's built-in speed boost.
• Grab the coins on the track as you drive; along with the reward at the end of each match, they decide how soon you can afford a better car.
• Treat takedowns as part of your racing. Ramming a rival out of the race is one of the listed moves, not just an accident.
• Decide whether to upgrade or replace. Money spent on your current car and money saved for a new one come out of the same pot.
• Play through the single-player levels before moving on to PvP, since the levels are how the game builds up your skills.
