Bobble is a peg-clearing arcade game by Winterpixel Games, the studio behind Goober World. It came out on Poki in November 2024. You fire a ball from a cannon into a field of pegs and watch it ricochet around the board. The goal of each level is to clear the pegs before your supply of balls is gone. Despite the name and the bright colours, it is not a bubble-matching game: there is nothing to line up in threes, only shots to plan.

How to aim and shoot

Point with the mouse to turn the cannon; an aiming line shows the direction of the first bounce. A left click sends the ball. Phones and tablets get a separate touch aim indicator, and the game runs in both portrait and landscape.

A counter keeps track of the balls you have left, and a hopper sits at the bottom of the play area. A progress meter also builds toward a free ball, which adds one more shot to your supply.

What is on the board

Not all pegs behave the same. The Poki description notes that some throw the ball off in odd directions, some hand out power-ups and some rearrange the board while you play, and the pegs keep moving and changing as a level goes on. Gem pegs have their own counter on screen, and clearing the last one triggers its own sound.

The board also has a few creatures on it. The game files contain a slime, a spider and a bomb, and the bomb has its own flash effect when it explodes.

Levels are laid out as small islands on a map, with locked ones shown by a padlock until you get there. If one stage keeps beating you, there is an option to skip it. Signing in with a Winterpixel account is optional; you can play without one.

Tips

  • Trust the aiming line for the first bounce only. After that the pegs decide where the ball goes, so choose a first target with plenty of pegs around it.
  • Check where the bomb and the creatures are before each shot, because the board does not stay still.
  • Watch the free-ball meter. Knowing a spare ball is coming lets you take a riskier shot.
  • When a few pegs are left in hard-to-reach corners, take your time over the angle instead of firing fast.
  • If a stage stalls your progress, the skip option lets you move on and come back later.
