My Perfect Hotel is a hotel management game from SayGames, released on Poki in June 2024. You play the owner, but at the start you are also the only member of staff. You walk your character between the front desk and the guest rooms, handling each job by hand, and the money that comes in pays for a bigger, busier building. It sits in the same family as other "walk around and run a business" idle games: small actions, quick rewards and a steady list of things to buy next.

How to play

You only ever steer your character; most tasks happen when you walk onto the right spot and stand there.

• Keyboard: W, A, S, D or the arrow keys move you around the hotel.
• On a phone or tablet: swipe or drag your finger to move.

A typical loop looks like this. A guest walks up to reception, you stand at the desk to check them in, and they go to a free room. When they leave, the room is dirty and cannot be used again until someone cleans it, so you hurry over and tidy it. Guests pay as they go. Spend that money on the marked spots on the floor to open new rooms, add parking so more guests can arrive, and unlock new parts of the building.

Growing the business

Doing everything yourself stops working once the hotel grows, so the game lets you hire staff. The build includes upgrade screens for workers such as cleaners and waiters, plus a concierge, so the jobs you started out doing alone can be handed off while you focus on expansion. Upgrades can also improve rooms and service areas, and later sections of a hotel add extra facilities such as a smoothie room. After each day a results popup sums up how you did, and a star rating shows your progress.

The game is larger than the first building suggests. A world map lets you move on to further hotel locations once you have developed the current one, and the files also contain player skins, a piggy bank and seasonal content such as a Halloween hotel.

Tips

• Early on, keep one eye on the reception desk. Guests waiting too long is lost money.
• Clean rooms as soon as guests check out. A dirty room is a room you cannot rent.
• Your first hires should cover the job you spend most of your time on, usually cleaning.
• Spend earnings as they come in, so the next room or upgrade opens sooner.
• Do not rush to a new location before the current hotel runs smoothly with staff; the next one starts small again.
