Funny Shopping Supermarket — Play Free Online

Funny Shopping Supermarket is a casual shopping game by Go Panda Games, an indie studio from South Surabaya in Indonesia that also made Funny Pet Haircut and Yummy Waffle Ice Cream. Hippo and friends are getting ready for a party, and your job is to go round the supermarket with them, find everything on their shopping list, bag it and pay for it at the till.

How to play

The whole game is played with the mouse or a finger: click or tap an item to pick it up, then move it where it needs to go. On phones and tablets it runs in landscape, so turn the device sideways. Each stage hands you a list of goods, and you look through the shelves for the matching products and drop them into the grocery bag. The game keeps track of mistakes, so it is worth reading the list before you start grabbing.

Shopping is only half of it. Before anyone leaves the shop, the goods go through the checkout. The counter has a cash register with a keypad and a scanner, and the stage is not done until the shopping has been paid for.

What you shop for

The lists change from stage to stage and cover very different parts of the store:

• Fruits and vegetables, such as bananas, apples and eggplants in paper bags.
• Candies in jars.
• Meats.
• Clothes.
• Carpentry tools such as wrenches.

The game also has you help customers find their way, sending each one to the section of the store they are looking for.

Achievements

The game tracks ten achievements, and their names tell you what it expects from a full run:

• Perfect Player – clear a stage without a single mistake.
• Excellent Informant – send customers to the section they want.
• Whacking Foodstuffs, Joyful Sweets, Meat Lover, Unique Outfit and Tools Obtainer – collect every fruit and vegetable, candy, meat, clothing item and tool.
• Personal Shopper – buy all the groceries.
• Shopping Specialist – finish every stage.
• The Flash – finish the whole game in a short time.

Tips

• Go for Perfect Player by checking each item against the list before you pick it up.
• Check the achievements screen now and then to see which item groups you still have to complete.
• Leave The Flash for a second play-through, once you already know where everything is.
