Vortellas Dress Up — Play Free Online

Vortellas Dress Up (styled Vortella's Dress Up in the game) is an online fashion contest made by Devortel, the studio behind Vortelli's Pizza and Vortelli's Cafe. You walk a 3D character around a shared lobby with other players, change into new clothes at dressing stations, and then compete in timed fashion shows where everyone in the room rates each other's look.

Controls

• Move your character with W, A, S and D, or by clicking and dragging with the mouse.
• Click items in the outfit menus to put them on.
• On phones and tablets the game plays with touch, so you drag to walk and tap to choose clothes.

How a competition round goes

A round is split into phases, and the game moves everyone through them together:

1. Theme vote. Two themes are offered and the room votes on which one the show will follow.
2. Dressing. A countdown starts and you visit the stations to change hair, outfit pieces and accessories to match the theme.
3. Showtime. Players walk the runway one at a time while the camera follows them.
4. Voting. While each model walks, the others give a score from one to five stars.
5. Awards. The three best-scoring players are placed on a podium in first, second and third place, and stars are paid out.

Customising your character

Besides clothing, the game has separate colour pickers for hair, skin, eyes, lips and blush. Stars earned in shows act as the currency for items in the clothes shop, and a daily shop rotates which items are on offer. Some pieces are marked VIP or can be unlocked by watching an ad. A name generator offers random usernames built from cute words, or you can pick your own name and choose whether it shows as filled or outlined text.

• A garden where you plant seeds in patches, look after the plants and unlock fountains and decorations.
• Prize chests hidden around the map that unlock an item when you open them.
• Collectibles scattered around the world.
• A code screen where you can type in a code to redeem items.
• A music player with a song list and your own playlist.
• Chat and emoji buttons, plus rooms you can create or join to play with friends.

Tips

• Check the theme as soon as voting ends; the dressing countdown is the only time you can change clothes.
• Vote honestly during showtime. The scores decide the podium for everyone, including you.
• Look at the daily shop each time you play, since its stock changes.
• Your unlocked items, stars and garden are saved, so progress carries over between visits.
