Ant Art Tycoon is an idle management game from Wix Games, the studio behind the Duck Life series, released on Poki in July 2025. The tutorial sets up the premise in one line: you are an art dealer who owns nothing except five highly trained ants. The ants walk out of their house, crawl across a blank canvas and fill it in pixel by pixel until a painting is finished. Your job is to sell their work and turn the money into a bigger, faster art business.

How to play

The whole game runs on clicks, or taps on a phone or tablet. When a painting is done it goes up for sale, and you set the asking price with the plus and minus buttons. Buyers then react. Some offer to buy and leave comments such as "This would look great in my bedroom" or "My grandma would love this", while others turn their nose up with lines like "My dog could do better!" or "That price is a little 'high'". Ask too much and nobody bites; ask too little and you leave money on the table. You spend what you earn in the shop, where a click buys an item.

Ants and upgrades

You start with black ants and unlock faster colours as you go. In order, the ranks are black, red, purple, blue, green, yellow, grey, cyan and orange. The shop text says red ants work twice as fast as black ones, cyan ants are the second fastest, and orange ants are the best painters of all. Each colour also has its own speed upgrade that applies across every studio you own.

Beyond more ants, the shop sells upgrades that change how the business runs:

• Bigger paintings and Colours, because larger and colourful pieces fetch more money.
• Listing slots so more paintings can be on sale at once, plus Smart listing removal, which drops the cheapest listing instead of the oldest.
• Mail, which opens commission letters from customers asking for a painting at a set payment. Completing them raises your reputation level.
• Multiple studios, which adds more ant art studios to your business.
• AFK painting, so the ants keep painting and selling while the game is closed. When you return, a "While you were away" screen sums up what they sold.
• Bank interest, which pays 1% of your bank balance every minute.
• Artist certification, which doubles the value of all paintings.
• Helpers such as the Painting skipper, Instant selling for half value, Painting recycling, an Ant counter and a Stats menu.

Optional special offers can give half-price shop items, double the value of the next painting or a speed boost. A long list of achievements tracks goals such as owning a set number of each ant colour, selling paintings above a price and building up money in the bank. Reaching the end of the game unlocks a thank-you letter signed by Simon Wixon of Wix Games.

Tips

• Do not be afraid to raise the price. One achievement asks you to sell a painting for more than five times its value, so buyers will sometimes pay far above it.
• Mail is worth having: commissions pay a fixed amount and also level up your reputation.
• Pick up AFK painting before long breaks so the studio keeps earning while you are away.
• Bank interest grows with your balance, so it pays off most once you have savings sitting in the bank.
