What Cube Builder is

Cube Builder is a blocky 3D resource and building game from Platonov Developer, the studio that also made Cube Miner and other titles. It reached Poki in December 2025. You start stranded on a sandy desert island, and the long-term goal is to gather enough material to build your way off it. Along the way you collect raw resources, turn them into building blocks, sell goods for coins and spend those coins on upgrades, all while zombies wander in to cause trouble.

Controls

• Move: W, A, S, D or the arrow keys.
• On a phone or tablet: an on-screen joystick handles movement, and the game is listed as playable on mobile in both portrait and landscape.

Resources and production

The game files name the raw materials you deal with: wood from trees (including birch trees), rock, sand, terracotta and wool from sheep. Raw materials are not the end product. They are carried to factories that turn them into finished blocks, and the build includes separate factories for:

• boards and wooden stairs
• stone and stone bricks
• sandstone and sandstone stairs
• glass
• terracotta bricks and terracotta shingles

Each structure you build is laid out as a blueprint, or "diagram", that shows which blocks it needs. One of the finished blueprints in the files is a ship, which ties in with the goal of leaving the island.

Farms, helpers and upgrades

You do not have to gather everything by hand forever. The build contains buyable farms for wood, rock, sand and terracotta, each with its own farmer who works the resource for you. There is also a shop buyer who takes goods for cash and a trash can.

The upgrade menu has panels for factory speed, farm slots, farmer slots, your own carrying slots and your movement speed. On top of that, temporary boosters cover gold, mining, extra slots and speed. A level progress bar and an end-of-level window track how far you are through the current stage.

Zombies

Zombie spawners are part of the island, so the peace does not last. Poki's description says you have to defend yourself while you build, and the character model carries an axe.

Tips from the way the game is set up

• Spend early coins on carrying slots and speed. Resources have to reach a factory or the buyer, so carrying more and moving faster makes each trip count for more.
• Buy farms when you can. A farmer keeps a resource coming in while you deal with factories and zombies elsewhere.
• Check the diagram before hauling. Bring the block types the current blueprint asks for instead of stockpiling whatever is nearest.
• Use boosters at busy moments. They are temporary, so save them for when a big blueprint or an upgrade is within reach.
