About Dragon Simulator 3D

Dragon Simulator 3D puts you in control of a dragon in an open 3D world. It was made by CyberGoldfinch, a developer with a whole line of animal simulators that also includes Tiger Simulator 3D, Horse Simulator 3D and Dog Simulator 3D, and it was released on Poki in February 2020. The full name inside the game build is Dragon Simulator 3D: Adventure Game.

How to play

The game's own description admits that dragons are not easy to control, and it uses a fairly long list of keys:

Missions, stars and levels

The main loop is built around missions handed out across the map. Finishing them earns stars, and once you have collected enough stars your dragon goes up a level, becoming both stronger and faster. The game also has skill points, among them attack points. On screen you keep track of health and energy bars and a food count, and in a fight the dragon can use both its fire breath and its tail.

Home, breeds and family

Your dragon has a home that can be improved by buying upgrades for it. You start by choosing a type of dragon, and further breeds can be bought later from a Change Dragon Breed menu, along with skins that change your dragon's appearance. There is also a family system: your dragon can find a partner, make a baby, and watch the baby grow up.

The game keeps a list of achievements tied to these systems, covering things like finishing the tutorial, reaching a new level, collecting gold and food, finding items, defeating enemies, buying a skin, improving the home, having a baby and seeing it grow up.

• Q is the key that switches between taking off and landing.
• Press L if you want the cursor locked.
• Focus on missions early, since stars are what raise your dragon's level.
• Press H for a clear view of the world when you want to explore without the interface in the way.
