Euro Kick Tournament — Play Free Online

Euro Kick Tournament is a free-kick football game by Kayfo Games, released on Poki in October 2024. You pick a national side, type in a player name and play a full tournament of set-piece duels: you take free kicks against a wall and a keeper, and when the other team shoots you have to read the kick and dive the right way. Win the final and the game crowns you with the Kayfo Cup.

Teams and tournament format

The team file in the game covers the big European football nations, among them France, Germany, England, Spain, Italy, Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, Croatia and Scotland, along with smaller sides such as Slovenia, Albania and Georgia. Brazil, Argentina and the United States are in the list too. Each team has its own kit colours and its own difficulty values for its keeper and its shooters.

A tournament starts with 3 group matches. After that come knockout rounds that run through the quarter-finals and the semi-final to the final. A level game can go to a tie-breaker.

How to play

Everything is done with a mouse click, or a tap on a phone or tablet.

• Shooting: the tutorial tells you to pick the corner you want to shoot toward. The aim cursor is set in two steps: the first click fixes it from side to side and a second click fixes the height.
• Defending: when the opponent lines up a kick, you choose where your keeper dives, and you have to make that choice before he jumps.
• Feedback: a shot can be blocked by the wall, saved by the keeper or simply go wide, and the game tells you which one happened.

Boosts, energy and Fury Mode

As you level up you unlock boosts, and using them costs energy. You charge energy by scoring in the upper corners, and starting a match also adds some. The boosts are:

• Fire-Ball – a more powerful shot that the game's own tip calls unstoppable.
• Super-Corner-Shot – used to score a Super-Goal.
• Shield – protects your keeper against an opponent's Fire-Ball and lets him reach further.
• Magnetic-Gloves – make the ball easier to catch.
• Rewind – lets you redo an aim that missed.

When the energy bar is full and you are attacking, you can switch on Fury Mode. While it lasts, all your boosts are active at once and rewind has no limit. The shield can be broken too: combining Fire-Ball with the Super-Shot is how you get through it.

The game also has bonus rounds, including a Canon-Ball challenge and a hit-the-target game, and a Training option on the menu.

Tips

• Go for the upper corners whenever you can. Those are the goals that fill your energy.
• Fury Mode needs a full bar and has to be started while you are attacking, so spending energy on single boosts pushes it further away.
• Rewind is there to redo a missed aim, which makes it the boost to lean on while you learn the two-click aim.
• When the other side has a Fire-Ball, the Shield is the boost built to stop it.
