Free Kick Screamers — Play Free Online

Free Kick Screamers is a dead-ball football game from the studio 10x10 Games, released on Poki in May 2024. Every level is one set piece: the ball sits on the turf, a goal waits at the far end, and something always stands in the way. Sometimes that is a keeper, sometimes a defensive wall, and on later stages it is a moving target or a pile of odd props. You score to clear the level and move on to the next one on the map.

How to play

The whole game runs on a single gesture. Press and hold the mouse button, move the pointer to set direction and curve, then let go to strike the ball. On a phone or tablet the same action works with your finger: touch, drag to aim, release to kick. Some levels add a clock, and the screen warns you to shoot before the time runs out.

• Aim: hold the button (or your finger) and move.
• Kick: release.
• Skip: a stuck shot can be skipped by watching an ad.

What is in the game

The level file in the build lists forty-five named stages. They start gently with the Training Ground, where you get three attempts, and then every stage after it gives you five. The settings change all the time, which is most of the charm. A short tour of the names:

• Early stages: Suburbia, Shopping Mall, Aquarium and Graveyard.
• Middle stretch: Space Warp, UFO Abduction Zone, Quantum Chessboard, Dino Park Rangers, Medieval Tournament and Ninja Temple.
• Late stages: Pirate Ship Deck, Wild West, Wizard School, Zombie Heaven, Granny's House and Hell Arena.
• The last one is simply called The Final One.

From the Pirate Ship Deck onward, several stages carry a wind setting that pushes the ball sideways, so the line you would use on a calm level no longer works. Finish the run and you are told you won the cup. After that the game offers an "Extra Hard" mode for players who want to go through again, and there is a Pro Mode switch in the menu.

Your kicker can be dressed up too. The shop sells shirt colours, haircuts and faces, and a few special options unlock through rewarded ads instead of play.

Tips from the way it works

• Use the first attempt on a new stage as a test. Watch where the wall jumps and where the keeper dives, then adjust.
• On wind stages, aim against the wind rather than at the gap you want; the ball drifts during flight.
• Moving obstacles follow a fixed path. Wait for the opening to come round instead of forcing the shot.
• If a level has a timer, set your angle early and spend the remaining seconds on small corrections.
• A miss on the last attempt is not the end: the game offers one life back for an ad, so you can retry the level without starting the map over.
