About Basketball Real

Basketball Real (styled Basketball REAL in the game) is a 3D basketball game by splax.net, the developer that also made Sword Road and American Football REAL. It was added to Poki in May 2026. You build up a player, pick a team and take the ball onto the court for full matches with passing, outside shooting and dunks.

The game is drawn in real-time 3D in the browser with a modelled arena, player models with swappable skin parts and animated nets.

Controls

There are no keyboard shortcuts to learn. Click (or tap on a touch screen) to choose options in the menus, then swipe to play once the ball is in your hands. The same input works on a computer with a mouse and on phones and tablets.

Positions and teams

Every player belongs to one of the five classic basketball positions, and the game lists them by name:

• Point Guard
• Shooting Guard
• Small Forward
• Power Forward
• Center

Before a match the game asks you to "Select your team!", and each team has its own uniform colours. Poki's listing also mentions choosing your character and customising the kit.

Training and progress

A Training option sits alongside the matches. The game tracks your scoring by type, with separate counts for dunks and three-pointers ("3pt"), and adds up a Total Score. The game also uses coins. If a run ends badly, the game tells you to "Keep your growth and try again!", so the improvement you have built up stays with you rather than being wiped. Poki describes the long-term aim as training your player, getting better and climbing the ranks, and its listing says matches can be played solo or online against other people.

Tips

• Use Training to get a feel for the swipe before you take on a full match.
• Keep an eye on the dunk and three-point counts after a game; they show which kind of shot is working for you.
• Because growth carries over after a loss, a defeat is not wasted time; your player keeps the progress made.
