Animals Volleyball — Play Free Online

Animals Volleyball is a one-on-one volleyball game with cartoon animals in place of people. It is the work of a solo developer who goes by Marcus7z, and it arrived on Poki in June 2024 as that developer's first game there; the build itself carries the label "V.4.8 / Marcus7z". Since animals have no hands, each player knocks the ball over the net with its head, legs or body, and the aim is simply to score more points than the animal on the other side.

Controls

• Move your animal with the arrow keys or with W, A, S and D.
• Press the spacebar to hit the ball with your head.
• On a phone or tablet, on-screen buttons and a touch joystick take the place of the keyboard.

Modes and arenas

The start menu offers a one-player game against an AI bot and a two-player game for two people on the same device. The build also has a separate mode select screen and four maps, one of them a circus stage with spotlights, with scenery pieces such as water, snow and grass. You can type your own nickname, and a ranking list and a win streak counter keep track of how you are doing.

Power-ups and skills

Power-ups float around the court during a rally. Grabbing one gives you an effect such as freezing your opponent in place or a smash attack. The game files include effects for ice, wind, rockets, lasers and fire, along with a shield and a healing effect, and there is a skill screen where skills can be bought and then used in a match.

Shop and rewards

The game keeps a money counter, and the shop sells skins that change how your animal looks, including skins for the AI opponent. There is a daily prize with its own progress bar, and the files also contain an egg feature with eggs that crack open.

Getting better

• Use the one-player mode against the AI bot to get a feel for how the ball comes off your animal's head before you take on a friend.
• Keep an eye on the power-ups floating over the court. A freeze on your rival at the right moment can decide a close rally.
• Check the skill screen between matches, since bought skills are what you take into the next game.
