Dino Bros — Play Free Online

Dino Bros is a short-level puzzle platformer from Fancade, the studio behind Drive Mad, Stacktris and Monster Tracks. It went live on Poki in January 2024. You are not steering one hero but a pair of blocky dinosaur brothers, and the whole game is built around one rule: whatever direction you press, both of them take that step together.

The goal of each level

Every stage is a small floating block of terrain. Somewhere on it sit coins, and somewhere else sits the exit door. You need to pick up every coin and then bring both brothers to the door. Leaving one sibling stranded is not an option, so a route that works for one dinosaur is only half an answer.

In the build on this page the two look different enough to track at a glance: one is a tall pink dinosaur and the other is a short yellow one. A pause button sits in one top corner of the screen and a question-mark button in the other.

Controls

• Keyboard: arrow keys or W, A, S and D move the pair.
• Mouse: click and drag in the direction you want them to go.
• Phone or tablet: the game runs on mobile as well, using the same drag input with your finger.

There is no separate button for each brother. One input always drives both.

Why moving in sync is the puzzle

If both dinosaurs always stepped onto open ground, the levels would be trivial. The trick is that the map gets in the way of one brother but not the other. Buildings, walls and raised platforms stop one dinosaur while his twin keeps walking, and that is the only way to change the gap between them. Poki's own description calls this out directly: you use the structures in each level to adjust how far apart the pair stands and where each of them ends up.

So a typical stage asks you to read the layout first. Which wall can hold the pink one in place while the yellow one keeps going? Which ledge lines them up again before the door?

Tips

• Count tiles before you move. Knowing the exact offset you need between the two brothers tells you how many times one of them must be blocked.
• Use walls as brakes on purpose. Pressing into an obstacle is not wasted input; it is how you move one dinosaur relative to the other.
• Grab coins on the way, not at the end. Since both brothers share every step, a detour for a single coin can undo the spacing you worked for.
• Check the door last. The exit only matters once every coin is gone and both siblings can reach it in the same series of moves.

Who it suits

Poki files Dino Bros under brain, skill and platform games, and that mix is accurate. If you liked other Fancade titles such as Odd Bot Out or Recoil, the clean block art and bite-sized stages will feel familiar.
