Zomblox Io — Play Free Online

Zomblox Io, written Zomblox.io on its own logo, is a blocky 3D shooter in which you fight zombies alone or with other players, or turn your guns on each other. Everything in it, from the characters to the maps, is built out of cubes, and many of the blocks in a map can be shot apart. Alongside the fighting there is a full map editor, so players can build their own arenas and share them.

Controls

The settings screen lists the keyboard layout:

On a phone or tablet the game uses on-screen buttons, and the settings let you switch the joystick and autofire on or off.

Modes

• Survival – the offline mode. You hold out against waves of zombies on your own.
• Co-Op – the same wave fight, but online with other players on your side.
• PvP – timed player-versus-player matches.
• Royale – a last-player-standing round for up to four players. When you are knocked out the game tells you where you placed, and the last survivor gets a Victory message.
• Custom – make your own lobby. The host can set it to Public or Private, choose guns or melee only, switch on a gun game variant, pick the mode, the player limit, the map and whether zombies appear in PvP. A lobby chat runs while everyone waits.

Weapons and zombies

The guns are the Pistol, Shotgun, Tommy Gun, AK-47, Minigun and Bazooka. For close range there are melee weapons: a Stick, Sword, Mace, Axe, Scythe and Hammer. The undead come in several kinds: the regular Zombie, the Mini Zombie, the Red Zombie, the Bomb Zombie and the Boss Zombie.

Kills in quick succession are called out on screen, from Double Kill and Triple Kill up to Quadra Kill and Penta Kill, and long runs without dying count as a Killing Spree, which pays bonus coins.

Maps

The game ships with ten built-in maps: Courtyard, Fuze, Smokeline, Boxes, Quadrant, Labyrinth, Snowstorm, Oasis, Gridlock and Road. Each map has its own terrain and weather setting; Courtyard, for example, is foggy, while Gridlock is played in daylight.

The map editor uses its own controls: WASD to move, click to place a block, the scroll wheel to zoom, right-click to spin and Shift held down to paint with a brush. Maps you make are saved locally, and you can publish one under a unique name so that other players can find it with the map search and play it.

Levels, coins and the shop

Playing earns experience, and each level-up comes with a coin reward. Coins unlock character parts in the shop: hats, hair, beards, jackets and shoes, each in several colours. If you are short of coins, the shop also offers an optional ad that pays out extra coins.
