What Blumgi Paintball is

Blumgi Paintball is a team platformer from Blumgi, made together with Puya (the game's own files are labelled "Puya x Blumgi"), and it landed on Poki in October 2024. It sits alongside Blumgi's other titles such as Blumgi Ball, Blumgi Soccer and Blumgi Racers. Rather than scoring goals or crossing a finish line, each match is about territory: two teams cover the arena in their own colour, and the side that owns a large enough share of it takes the win.

Controls

• Move: W, A and D, or the up, left and right arrow keys.
• Bomb: S or the down arrow key.

On phones and tablets the same actions are on on-screen buttons. A second person can join at the same computer for local two-player play, either on the same team in Co-op or against each other in Versus.

How you paint the arena

There are several ways to claim ground. Simply running across tiles colours them. Guns fire paintballs that splash colour where they land, bombs cover a wider patch at once, and special skills add more. Matches are played in arenas built from platforms, with level pieces like breakable ice cubes and magic doors that teleport you.

Pickups and shot upgrades

During a match, pickups appear on the map. The bonus set includes a heal, a shield and a sprint, and there are bomb and weapon pickups too. The game also has an upgrade panel with shot types such as piercing shots, explosive shots, divide shots that split, aiming shots, back shots and a big shot.

Ranks, modes and cosmetics

Winning matches moves you up a league ladder shown as a trophy road, with Diamond as the top rank Poki mentions. Wins also unlock cosmetics such as hats and faces, and the customisation screen covers your character's colour, eyes, mouth and hat. Besides the classic mode, the build contains seasonal Halloween and Christmas modes that unlock separately.

Tips

• Keep moving even when you are not shooting, since walking over tiles paints them for your team.
• Collect the weapon and bomb pickups that appear, because guns and bombs are both ways to colour ground beyond the tiles you walk on.
• Learn the bomb key early: it is S or the down arrow, separate from the keys you move with.
